The NSW South Coast is a world full of wonders with plenty of beaches to surf, great pubs and clubs and of course, fantastic coffee from yours truly, Alfresco Coffee Roasters.
Whether you’re a South Coast local or thinking of making a visit, we’re going to run you through a typical day in the life of a South Coast local and give you some tips on the best places to be on a hot summer day. But first, make sure to visit Alfresco Coffee Roasters’ website here and shop the range if you truly want to embrace the South Coast lifestyle.
Kick your day off with a hot, barista-made coffee from Alfresco Coffee Roasters in either Moruya or Batemans Bay and just so you know, where you pick to have your coffee is going to decide your next move. If you got your coffee from our home in Moruya, grab your surfboard and swimmers and head to Broulee Beach. Surfing at Broulee Beach is some of the best you’ll get on the South Coast as it's well protected and you do get some mammoth waves at the right times. The beach is perfect for snorkelling and diving too or if you just want a quick dip then go for it!
Once you’re out of the surf from Broulee Beach you’ll want to head back to Broulee Brewhouse for some of the best food on the South Coast. Order up their Saffron Gnocchi for a satisfying post-beach feed.
If Batemans Bay is your destination of choice then this is a no brainer, you’re heading to Mollymook Beach. With a great scenic view of the headlands and of course, the famous Mollymook Golf Course, you’ll thoroughly enjoy the local surf spots in one of the go-to South Coast destinations. Live it up with a damn good coffee in hand.
Lunch at The Ruse doesn’t sound too bad if you just came out of the surf at Mollymook. If you’re looking for something a little more low maintenance then give the Mollymook Golf Course a try. They have a delicious chicken schnitzel!
The afternoons of course are going to be your designated chill time. Kick the feet up, find a book and maxo chillaxo! If you don’t feel like a lay down then no need to worry, head back out for some killer cocktails and drinks at Mami’s Bar in Bateman’s Bay. Fun fact, it’s the town's only small bar!
It’s dinner time and you need to have some drinks on standby of course. The barbeque is your best mate tonight and there’s no better way to end a tough day doing the hard yards than a few steaks, hot chips and a good salad. So, how does it feel to live the typical life of a South Coast local? We think it sounds good! Share your South Coast day with us and tag us on Instagram, @alfrescocoffeeroasters.
